ich habe nun die Datei editiert:

/etc/systemd/journald.conf

dort vor SystemMaxUse das "#" entfernt und auf =1024 gesetzt

danach habe ich den Befehl ausgeführt:

service restart systemd-journald

keine 2sec später war der Wert entsprechend zurück gegangen:

eis # du -sh /var/log/journal
1021M   /var/log/journal
