lilo hat aber die Bootdateien geschrieben und nicht abgebrochen.

Ich wüßte nicht, warum die Warnungen nicht früher auch da waren, denn am
lilo hat sich nichts geändert.

Kamen die jetzt erstmalig beim Update auf den 4er-Kernel?

Nun? Nach obigem? Also erst Kernelupdate dann Vergrößerung der
boot-Partition?

Ich habe bei den Tests mit gparted zunächst wild auf einem Stick getestet,
was nie etwas zerstört hat.
