[Eisfair] OT: Debian NAS

Hallo.

Ich habe hier einen NAS von Western Digital, WD Mycloud, in Betrieb, auf
dem eine Debian Version 3.2.6 läuft. Das letzte Firmware Update war vor
einem Jahr. Seither kam von WD nichts mehr.

Das System selber ist nie geupdatet worden. Entsprechend viele Dateien
stünden an.

Meine Frage ist die:
Sollte man bei so einem abgespeckten System ein Update fahren oder es so
lassen wie es ist?

Der NAS, WD Mycloud, steht im LAN und hat keinerlei Internetzugriff nach
außen und wird von außen auch nicht genutzt. Er dient nur als interner
Datenspeicher für alle Geräte im LAN.

während des sudo apt-get upgrade bringt mir die Installation die
mdadm config Datei und fragt nach ob ein RAID existiert.

Der NAS hat nur eine 4TB HDD, kein RAID.

Welche Antwort wäre richtig all, es wäre aber nur eine Platte
oder none ?


Sollte man an dem System gar nichts machen, läuft ja.
