Wozu sollte man dann einen Device Node haben der nur den Controller
selbst betrifft wenn...

Da könnte ich mir eher so was vorstellen wie twaX für den controller X
und twe für partitionen oder laufwerke darauf. Aber, das ist nur geraten.

BTW. Kennst du diesen Passus aus der smartctl man page

Erinnert mich an cciss. Auch alles sehr uneindeutig von der zuordnung her.
