"Fetchmail error 501 ("Syntax error in parameters or arguments" or "Bad 
sender address syntax") happens when fetchmail passes an email to your local 
Mail Transfer Agent (MTA) like Postfix, but the sender/recipient address or 
SMTP command syntax violates protocol rules. This often causes a loop where 
fetchmail repeatedly tries to download the same bad message."
