Das ist sehr interessant, Deine Beschreibung zur Installation von grub2 auf dem Eis.
Vielen Dank für die Info. :-) Ich werde das ausprobieren!

Das hatte ich mir (insgeheim) schon länger gewünscht.
Normalerweise reicht ja das standardmäßige) Bootloader-System von Eisfair (jetzt Extlinux bzw. Syslinux) vollkommen aus,
wenn man ein Eisfair-System als VM oder nativ betreibt. Wenn man aber auf der Systemplatte eines Eisfair-Servers ein weiteres
Linux-System fahren möchte, das Grub basiert ist oder wenn man auf der Systemplatte eines Grub-basierten Linux-Systems auch 
Eisfair-installieren möchte, wird's schwierig. Ich habe solche Systeme.

Eine solche Möglichkeit (Sys/Extlinux oder Grub) hat zum Beispiel Alpine Linux seit einiger Zeit, wobei ersteres Standard ist. 
Grub steht dort optional! zur Verfügung. Feine Sache. So was wünschte ich mir auch für Eisfair als Alternative, auch wenn ich 
nicht der große Grub-Fan bin.
...fragt sich aber sicherlich wieder, wer macht's. :)
