Nein.

Also trifft doch obige Hinweis auf deinen Fall nicht zu und die Parttion
liegt an korrekter Stelle.

Wenn er das OS nicht findet, vermute ich mal, dass er kernel und initrd
nicht findet.

Wie sieht /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf aus?

Post doch mal fdisk -l.
